Well I used Powtoon to make a movie about Culture Club, because in my class culture club was where we chose a country then did lots and I mean lots of research. I chose Singapore, I love Singapore. I have even been there. So when I was able to choose Singapore I was over the top. One of the reasons I chose Singapore was because it's such a beautiful country. Will, The First Digital Teacher!

Hi readers, thanks for tuning in!

This week in my reading group, we had a look on Dogo News, and we found that the first digital teacher had been created. Now this got us going, we were wondering whether it was digital or robot,
turns out it was actually a digital teacher that teaches you about energy. I thought it was a projected image that talked through speakers around the classroom. It was actually a avatar that appeared on your device that can even smile at you when you smile at them because it uses the microphone and webcam, the teacher's name is Will. Did you know he is actually based off a real person, Will is currently in Auckland, he is really cool and I would love to have him as a teacher of mine if he was partnered with a real teacher because he would make teaching that little bit easier. But there is a few down sides, Will would have to be partnered with a real teacher because he is only programmed to talk about energy and he can not tell you if you are doing something wrong or not, and worst of all it would lead to more poverty. The reason it would lead to more poverty is because teachers would then lose money because they were not getting payed any because they would be replaced by Digital teachers.

A-MAZE-ING

In my reading group last week, we had to pick a maze on google earth and then make a slideshow with information on it. The reason we were doing this was because of our term focus of culture club, and in my opinion my slides was A-MAZE-ING. I really enjoyed it! It was so fun. I chose the largest mirror maze in Asia, which is located in Singapore, so have a read.

"STOP!" I screamed in terror...

As I saw hackerguyperson111 steal my robux, "Haha, face my wrath", the hacker said to me. "No I won't", I said, angrily.  His minions started running straight at me. I quickly went to the roblox store and found a sword. I swung the sword, what felt like a thousand times, and wiped out a lot of the minions. "You may have got me down, but do really think I would not come without backup minions", hackerguyperson111 shouted. Then the backup minions started zooming at me I did not hesitate at all, I swung my sword again, but then I felt a sharp pain through my back then I realized I killed all of the minions but the hacker was standing beside me waiting to duel. We fought for hours with our swords but thankfully he tripped over and I started to chant "Don't ever mess with me!"  He got up and ran also saying "You won't know when, you won't know how, but I will find you" the hacker said. I was so scared but still I walked away.

I wish I could...

Fly on planes more often, now, you or your parents may hate long flights and I mean hate long flights, and generally they do. But I love flying on planes especially long ones, but think about it, being lazy, and had everything done for you, well really that's not the reason for me, I would have to say my favorite airline is probably Singapore Airlines,

but enough of that, because I am going to explain why I actually like flying. The longer the better for me. Firstly, I love planes wait no I mean I LOVE planes and wanna be pilot when I am older, plus I also love staying in  Singapore when we fly to because the hotel is AMAZING and so is the pool, you get a view of planes landing, departing, and more from your room (sometimes) and from the pool I cant explain it so I will show you

But that's not all, yes I know in this Quickwrite there is a lot of images but I just haven to insert them, so also the reason I love Singapore Airlines so much is because although we only ever sit in economy they probably have the best service out of all the airlines I have flown on. The cabin crew are so nice especially to kids.  Here is another image if the economy seat on the 777-300ER, before you look at it yes there are remotes but the remotes have buttons and are also touch screen and have there own screen on the remote, but the IFE screen is touch screen so you don't have to use the remote.

and I love being on planes as you probably noticed, and that's why I wish I could fly more often. All the images so credit to the people who took the time to take these images. See you next time :)

If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Singapore because...

Singapore is a beautiful place, and it is always humid/hot. Plus, I love the hotel we stay at because it is so amazing and as a awesome pool (Crown Plaza in Singapore). I would love to go to Gardens by the bay because I have seen photos of it and it really does look extraordinary. Singapore is also the home of an amazing airline which we love to fly on called Singapore Airlines, Singapore airlines has amazing staff and fleet, they even have the A350XWB which is a pretty new aircraft I think? Oh, and by the way XWB stands for extra wide body if you did not know. In Singapore everyone is really nice, If you scroll down you will find a photo of what gardens by the bay looks like and then you will know why I
wanna go there because as the saying goes a photo says 1000 words.

Traffic thundered past as I stood...

On the edge of the motorway as I wondered if someone would stop for me, a small but freezing drop of rain spat from the top of the sky and gracefully fell to the ground as millions more fell afterward. Windscreen wipers of cars going past went up, down, up and down multiple times as they sped past me and getting smaller and smaller as they faded into the distant horizon, as I saw a car slow down and turn on the side of the motorway as I started to shiver in the cold, as they jumped out and said to me "Could you help us, our engine is not working as well as it should be"they explained. "Sure"I said shivering.


Afterward, once the engine was fixed they said "Thank you" then they got in there car, then I opened my mouth to ask if they could give me a ride, but it was to late they had already driven away. I curled up in a ball and covered myself with newspaper and slowly and uncomfortably fell asleep. 


"Hay, wake up, are yall alright?"I heard someone saying. Light hurt my eyes as I got the fright of my life when I saw someone leaning over my head, "Yes, I am fine"I explained. "Oh, good!"The guy said. "By the way my names Farmer Peet, I was riding down the road in my tractor when I saw yall curled up in a ball in the rain so I thought that I would come pick yall up"Peet said. "How long yall been here for?"he carried on. "Oh, about 3 days"I said, feeling like I was going to freeze to death. "Well come on let's hit the road, you can stay with us"Peet kindly suggested. "Okay let's go!"I said.

My knees trembled as I knelt...

Onto the green grass as I heard a crack and a snap as my face smacked the hard, flat ground as everything went black.

                           SEVERAL HOURS LATER...

A loud siren rang in my ears as I woke from my deathly dose, when I said to my Mum "Where am I?"    "Son, oh I am so glad you are awake." Mum cried. "We are on our way to the hospital."Mum said. "Why?" I said quietly. "The cracking and snapping you heard was a tree falling, and everything fell down on you. "Mum replied. "Where is Dad?"I said. "He will be there, now try and just relax"Mum said.

                                   AT THE HOSPITAL...

"beep, beep, beep, beeeeeeeeep" the heart monitor made next door. "He's dead and we don't pay for the funeral, would you like us to try get him alive again for a extra $200 whether it works or not" The doctor from next door said as he came into the my room. 

"Mum when can I turn onto my back?"I asked. "You cant for a while Henry" Dad said as he walked into the room. "Is it because my spine is broken ?"I asked.

Captain cranky. "Yar, she says it goes to treasure on the port bow."  Co-Captain Cameron said. "Yar, it does." Captain cranky explained. "OHNO! but it goes past the Big Octopus and no mans land." He said. "We will get past it" Co-Captain Cameron said.

                               And so their journey begins...

The boat drifted over waves and floated over the first half of the journey, Then...

BANG!! "CAPTAIN WE DRIFTED INTO NO MAN'S LAND!!!"Cameron shrieked. 

"WERE ALL THE WARS ARE" Captain Cranky screamed.  "Get the canons locked and loaded all of them!" Captain cranky shouted.  "INCOMING!"Cameron shouted. The boat lit on fire and little by little the boat broke until...

Frustrated!

Dear readers,
Throughout the year we have been writing blog posts and blog comments. I am very annoyed that the blog posts my class and I are getting aren't very good or we are getting no comments at all. Which is how I feel because I have no comments from people other than my blog buddy in my own class. I am very frustrated because I put so much effort into my blog and thought into your comments, but I don't feel like you are doing the same thing. So please have a think about that. This is Henry over and out.

Skateboard art

On Tuesday for Art we designed our own skateboards it took a while but it was really fun. First we drew our designs on paper. Then we cut them out and stuck them onto cardboard. Everyone did really unique and cool designs. All of our skateboards turned out really well. My Skateboard has a drawing of a creeper's face and there is also writing on mine that says...

Alliteration

Kia Ora readers, This week I have been learning about Alliteration. To help with our alliteration we are writing an Alphabet book for room nine at our school (five year olds). My letter is the letter N, so I have to do an alliteration sentence with the letter N. My First sentence was,  Neddie the Narwhal knocked over Nanny's Nachos. But then I remembered they might get confused because I put KN. Since the KN and N sound the same, they might not understand why it has a K, they might also not know what a Narwhal is. So my sentence that I am putting in the book is...

Neddie the naughty nightingale nibbled on Nelson's nectarine.

Pop, Froth, Fizz

Hello again, This week in my reading group I have been reading a book called Pop, Froth Fizz. The book was about a group of kids doing science experiments on which acidic and non acidic things fizzed, they used Baking powder, baking soda, Vinegar and water. So we put it to the test. First we did water and baking powder, it made a really good fizz I was pretty surprised because I did not know that water and baking powder fizzed.


Next we did vinegar and baking soda, Vinegar and baking soda made an even bigger fizz. It's amazing how that through a chemical reaction it can make a fizz. After that, we mixed an acid with an acid (Vinegar and baking powder) it made the biggest fizz of the experiment.


The the experiment was lots of fun I really enjoyed it and I learnt quite a bit too like, Baking soda and water makes tooth paste.

Internet safety (Kawa of Care)

Hello again, this term we have been learning a bit about kawa of care. We learnt how to hold our chromebook with our lids closed and two hands on each sides, and to NEVER EVER! Share private information like passwords, full names or Visa or Credit Card Info to anyone.
